Important Announcements

Here are a few important announcements

-Thursday - We will be done at 10pm.  We have some fun activities and traditions planned that

evening for your students and we want to have a little more time to enjoy them!

-Few more food items needed - your kids are eating! As such we are in need of more large bags

of chips, water and gatorade.  We also need 6 crockpots for Thursday.  A few more helpers would

also be great!  Please click here to sign-up and bring any of these items.  They can be dropped off Thursday morning on a cart outside the band room door.

-A Short parent performance will be held at 11am on Friday.  Please join us if you are able to

see how far we have come this week.  Once this performance is done students will be dismissed

and band camp 2023 will be over!

This is going to be a great year for us!  The students are working hard and accomplishing our daily

goals!  Thank you for continuing to encourage and support your students!

Camp Reminders

This is a very important week for the success of our  marching band season! These weeks can be tough and tiring on the students, so we really need parents to support their kids with lots of encouragement, as well as reminders about the importance of hydrating, eating well and getting plenty of rest. Here are few pointers to help your students have a positive, successful week!

-Bring a snack for our morning block on the field…this is a long time to be outside and a healthy snack that doesn’t contain a lot of sugar might be helpful. (avoid things that might melt)

-Keep Hydrated consistently throughout the day with water or gatorade/powerade.  Students should not be drinking soda or energy drinks.

-Students must eat breakfast.  Avoid lots of sugary cereals and dairy products which may not sit well with our physical activity.

-Get a good nights sleep

-Wear Sunscreen - bring extra and apply it often during the day.  I promise, it is very uncomfortable to do this activity with a sunburn.

-Take a shower and wear deodorant.  As a High Schooler this is a perfect time to make this a part of your daily hygiene routine.  Your social life may depend on it!

Day 1 is going great and your students are wonderful!
