Mr. Raaymakers the Elf plays tuba for fun(ds)

A sacred annual tradition is upon us!

 

Mr. Raaymakers will be dressed as Buddy the Elf and playing all your holiday favorites on Tuba from 2:00pm-3:30pm on Saturday, December 11 at Riverdog Tavern in Middleville!  

 

Not only will he be accepting tips for the Band, but while he plays Riverdog will be donating 25% of their profits to the Band!  Click Here for a map to Riverdog.

As always, our concerts are free and general admission! However, Don’t like waiting in line?

Want that special seat for our Winter Concert? This is your chance to support the

band and reserve your seat in advance today.


In order to help us fund our program we will be offering a limited

time pre-concert ticket sale for our upcoming Band Concert.  This is a pre-sale only.

You WILL NOT be able to purchase reserved seats at the door. Tickets are digital only and your seats will be labeled when you arrive!


Reserved seating will be $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and students. 


All seats not reserved in advance will, as always, be free and general admission.

Doors will open at 6:30 for the 7:00pm Concert

CalBands: Winter Concert Reminder

Our Winter Concert will take place on Tuesday, December 14 at 7pm in the High School Fine Arts Center.  We are excited to feature our Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band and Symphony Orchestra students as well as some of our small group ensembles!


Call Time for students is 6:30pm in the Band Room READY TO PLAY.  The band room will open at 5:45 for anyone who needs help with uniforms or wants to arrive early.


Uniforms:

Tuxedos have been fitted and students will need to provide their own white dress shirt and black dress shoes.  If there are any issues with this students should see Mr. Wellfare right away.


Dresses are also fitted and require black dress shoes.


Reserved Seating:

Our concerts are always free, but we will also be offering advanced reserved seating for this concert.  Please look for a separate email with information about this option.


We are very excited to present what we have been working on and look forward to performing for you!


Caledonia Christmas Parade Reminder

We are excited about the Christmas Parade this Saturday!  Below is a copy of the email sent earlier this week with the final details.  


Parents: The parade route goes down mainstreet in Caledonia, so anywhere in the business district area of mainstreet is a good place to watch!

Dear Marching Band Families,


Here are the details for the Caledonia Christmas Parade for this Saturday, December 4!  It is a short, but fun, event!


Itinerary:


4:30pm - HS Band Room Opens

5:00pm - CALL TIME - Ready to Play - Warm-up/Rehearse

5:30pm - March to Parade Staging area (Stadium Parking lot)

6:00pm - PARADE!

6:15pm - Approximate end of Parade (pick-up details below)

6:30pm - Approximate pick-up at HS if not getting picked up at end of route

7:00pm - Band Room Closes


Pick-Up:


The Band will stop at the Caledonia Village office (click for map) Students can be picked-up here, but should be driven back to the HS to drop off their hats/instruments/jackets.  Students may also walk via the trail back to the HS if they wish.  


Uniform:


Dress Warm!!!!  We will be wearing our raincoats and red and white Santa Hats.  Students may bring their own Red and White Santa Hat or use one that we provide.  Remember to layer and Dress Warm!  


Decorations:


As discussed in class, decorate your instruments/selves with lots of lights and festive decorations.  Only stipulations are that it cannot affect the playability/sound of your instrument or restrict your ability to move correctly.
