MarchingBand: Parent Meeting Reminder
The Parent (and student) Meeting is tonight at 7:00pm in the
SOUTH CAMPUS CAFETERIA!
We will keep it short, but have some important information for
Everyone to hear. You will also be able to meet the newest
Addition to our Band Staff!
If you have any forms or payments to make there will be a table
Set-up for you to do this near the door.. PLEASE take care of this
today and not Sunday morning if at all possible!
Check-In Volunteers Needed
We are in need of Parent volunteers for Camp Check-in on Sunday.
Volunteers will need to arrive at 11:15 to prepare for their jobs.
Bus Chaperones should arrive at 12:15 (if not already there)
Bus Chaperones will be dropped off back at CHS.

Practice Coordinate Identification
Today students started learning about drill. Click Here if you want to practice
Upperclassmen will recognize this as part of last years final exam.
The rest of you may see parts of it again.
Parents feel free to see if you can figure it out.
I won’t look at your answers, it is just for practice, so this is a no judgement zone.
Try as many times as you want!
Student Bus Sign-Up

Three Busses, 45 students each max.
Scroll down to see bus 2 and 3.
Sign-Up by the end of rehearsal on Wednesday.
If you don’t sign-up by then you will be assigned.
No Switching Busses.

Parent Meeting Location Change
The parent meeting scheduled for this Thursday, July 18, at 7:00pm is going to be held in the
South Campus Cafeteria NOT the North Campus Fine Arts Center.
Below you will find a map. Please park in the South Campus main parking lot
And enter through the South Campus Main Entry.

Pre-Camp to-do list!
Pre-Camp is upon us. Can’t wait to see all of you next week Monday-Thursday
From 9:00am-1:00pm at the High School Band Room!
Here is a list of reminders for pre-camp:
-Read previous reminders about hydration/nutrition
-wear comfortable workout type clothes
-wear supportive athletic style shoes (NO SANDALS)
-Bring a water bottle (I suggest insulated ½ gallon)
-Bring Hat/Sunscreen/Sunglasses
-Bring your instrument
-Bring a Pencil
-Bring a Snack if you tend to get hungry
Health Reminders:
-Hydrate with WATER!
-Eat Balanced Healthy meals throughout the day!
-Go Outside and do something to get used to the heat
-HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE (once more) HYDRATE!!

Health Reminder
As usual the summer heat is ramping up for the next few weeks. As most of our
Marching Band activity takes place outside, it is important to start to acclimate
To these temperatures and humidities.
Starting now (if you haven’t already been doing so):
-Hydrate with WATER!
-Eat Balanced Healthy meals throughout the day!
-Go Outside and do something to get used to the heat
-HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE (once more) HYDRATE!!
Everyone is REQUIRED to have a water bottle at every rehearsal.

-Play Fortnite Outside
-Have a Pool Party
-practice your instrument outside
-Play a sport
-Have parents lock them outside for 30 minutes
-practice fortnight moves outside while locked out
Uniform Fittings and Volunteers
We will be fitting uniforms during the week of Pre-Camp. We are in need of
Volunteers to help make this process go smoothly and quickly.
No experience or special skills needed. Our wonderful uniform team will
Train you in all the skills needed to be successful!

-Start acclimating yourself to the outdoors. Getting used to being in the heat and
Humidity will help when it comes to our rehearsals. Maybe go for a run, bike ride,
Or walk. At the very least take your video games outside and sit in the heat!
-Hydrate and eat balanced emails! Start now!
