MarchingBand: Final Parade Information

Dear Marching Band Families,
The Caledonia Independence Day Parade is Here! 
Below are your final details!
Parents, you can come play too! Dust off the old horn and join us!
ITINERARY:
June 28 - Friday - Rehearsal 
6:00pm-7:00pm - HS Black Box Theater 
(across the path from the band room in South Campus)
DO NOT go to the band room - it is being used for a theater show (we will 
Get the equipment needed at one time during rehearsal)
June 29 - Saturday - Independence Day Parade
9:30am - Band Room Opens
10:00am - Short Rehearsal and Warm-Up
10:20am - March to parade staging area 
10:40am - Hydrate and stay cool
11:00am - Parade starts
11:20am - Get Picked up at Village Clerks Office OR Walk back to HS on trail
11:40am - Approximate pick if walking back to HS
12:00am - Band room closing
UNIFORM:
Shorts, comfortable athletic shoes (NO SANDALS or FLIP FLOPS) 
Red, white and blue in any combination! Decorate your instruments for fun!
MUSIC:
Grand Old Flag, Battle Hymn of the Republic, Stars and Stripes (final section)
Memorized if you have played it with us before, but music use will be fine for 
Any new or community members!  Copies available at rehearsal.
HEALTH:
It will be hot (as always).  Eat healthy meals on Friday and a good breakfast on
Saturday. Starting NOW...HYDRATE with WATER!!!! We will have our golf cart 
following the band with extra water.
This is always a fun parade with a big audience.  See you there!

Parade Time CORRECTION!

The Caledonia Independence Day Parade actually starts at 11:00am, not 10:00am,
As listed in previous communications.

Here is the adjusted itinerary for Saturday, June 29.

June 29 - Independence Day Parade - 10am Call Time - 11pm Parade
Itinerary:
9:30am - Band Room Opens
10:00am - Short Rehearsal and Warm-Up
10:20am - March to parade staging area 
10:40am - Hydrate and stay cool
11:00am - Parade starts
11:20am - Get Picked up at Village Clerks Office OR Walk back to HS on trail
11:40am - Approximate pick if walking back to HS
12:00am - Band room closing

Semi-Truck Washing/Organization

We will be washing the semi trailer tomorrow (Tuesday), June 18 starting at 10am.
If we get a few volunteers we should be able to make short work of it and be done by 1.
If you are able to come help and bring supplies, CLICK HERE to sign-up.

Drumline: Summer Rehearsal Times

Based on the  survey results summer drumline rehearsals will be in the evening.
For ease of those needing rides we will rehearse from 7-8:30pm
