Here are your Marching Band Announcements for the week of August 29.
This Week:
-Rehearsal Monday evening (August 29) from 6pm-8pm

The Near Future:
-Fall Scrap Metal Drive is happening on September 10 - More details soon! Save your Metal!
-Our next boosters meeting is on September 13. We have several positions that need to be filled including treasurer and VP.
Below is the information for our first regular season home game on Thursday, Sept. 25 vs. Holt!
Volunteers:
We need parent volunteers for pit crew. Pit Crew will need to arrive at 5:00pm
Pit crew helps us move equipment from the school to the field and back during the course of each event.

Itinerary:
5:00pm - Band Room Opens
5:45pm - RTP (ready to play) on practice field
6:30pm - March to Stadium
6:53pm - Pre-Game Performance
7:00pm - Kick-Off
9:15pm - Approximate game end and march back to school
9:30pm - Approximate Pick-Up
(please note: We realize this is a school night. We will do our best with the events that we CAN control to make sure the students are done as soon as possible after the game)
Uniform:
-Show Shirt
-Khaki Shorts (Any variety of Khaki is fine, we discussed in class and already gave students the answers to their questions about Khaki)
-tennis shoes
Note: Our new uniforms are scheduled to arrive soon. You’ll know when they get here because we will need lots of volunteers to do fittings and get them processed!
This is a busy week for everyone so here are the bullet points for the week.

- Tuesday Aug 23 - First Day of School
-Thursday Aug 25 - FIRST HOME GAME PERFORMANCE (itinerary below)

Itinerary for Home Game (volunteer needs and reminders will come later in the week)
5:00pm - Band Room open
5:45pm - Call Time RTP (Ready to Play) at Band Room for Warm-up/
6:25pm - March to Stadium
6:52pm - Pre-game performance
7:00pm - Kick-off
9:15pm - Approximate end of game/return to band room
9:30pm - Approximate pick-up time
Uniform:
Our new uniforms have not arrived yet so we will be wearing our show shirts and shorts on Thursday for the game. These will be passed out on Tuesday.
Get your CalBands Apparel now! We will be taking orders until August 22 for delivery later this fall. T-Shirts, Hoodies, Sweatpants and Blankets! Not only are these items great to wear to our games and events, but they make great Christmas gifts as well!
(note: HS Marching Band students will be receiving a show shirt, so you do not need to order one for your student)

Announcements for Week of August 8

-Colorguard - additional rehearsal - August 8 - 6-9pm

Dear Color Guard Section Members,
You have been doing a fantastic job so far this season and we want to keep the momentum going!
The next two Mondays (Aug 8 and 15) we will be having additional rehearsals for guard only from 6pm-9pm so you can focus on your many guard specific things in the show with your coaches.
These times are in addition to our morning rehearsals on these dates.
