Marching Band: Football-Parade Itinerary 10/5 and Volunteer Request

Dear Marching Band Students and Parents,

Our fourth game of the season and Homecoming Parade vs. Grand Haven is this Friday, October 5.

Volunteers:

We are in need of volunteers for this event.  Please click here to see how you can help.

Can't Volunteer this week?  No problem, just come and be a part of a loud and supportive cheering
section for pre-game and half-time!

Itinerary:

3:30pm - Uniform room opens
4:15pm - Call time RTP on practice field - Stretching/Warm-Up
4:30pm - March to Duncan Lake - line up for parade
5:00pm - Parade starts (route is down main street and back)
5:30pm -Pizza and refreshments served to band students in stadium parking lot
6:25pm - Line up and march into stadium
6:52pm - Pre-Game
7:00pm - Kick-off
9:40pm - Approximate return to CHS to collect uniforms and get picked-up (note the slightly later
time due to extension of half-time and some post game homecoming announcements)

Important: Anyone who plays a team sport or was involved in powderpuff may wear their jersey
for the parade over their band jacket.  YOU ARE MARCHING WITH THE BAND, not riding the
floats with your team. We have so many people involved in many activities that if everyone rode
their floats we wouldn't have a band.  This has always been, and will remain, our policy.

Uniform:

Don't forget to bring your show shirt, tall black socks and marching shoes!

Other Notes:

Students are welcome to stay after school on Friday, I would recommend bringing a snack to
eat prior to call time.

Parents and Students: Please remember that there are hundreds of students in Band, Cheer,
Football that work hard to make these events special.  For each student there are many adults,
volunteers, and community members behind the scenes working hard for them. You may be
sitting next to one of them in the stands and not know it, so please be supportive and encouraging
to ALL.

Thanks,

Kyle Wellfare

Caledonia High School
