Marching Band Announcements
We will be fitting all of the students for their uniforms during Pre-Camp. We will need 12 parent volunteers on Monday and Tuesday of pre-camp from 8am-12pm to get this done quickly and efficiently.
No experience is necessary and our wonderful uniform committee will make sure it is easy and fun!

Marching Band Pre-Camp and Camp are coming up fast! Pre-Camp starts on the 17th and camp starts on the 24th! Our custom music and drill are being written and we have an exciting season planned for all of you! Below are a few things you can do to help you prepare as well as some reminders!
To-do:
-If you haven’t filled out your registration/medical form yet please do so now.
-Make sure your instrument works and you have all the supplies you need (reeds, oil, etc)
-Play your instrument some this week to get your chops back in shape
-Go outside and get acclimated to being in the heat
-HYDRATE (start now and drink water regularly throughout the day, everyday)
-Eat healthy regular meals
-Make sure you have some comfortable athletic clothing and tennis shoes. You’ll be moving around a lot and we want you to be comfortable.
Pre-Camp:
Monday July 17 - Thursday July 20: 8am-Noon in CHS Band Room
-We will get our music and start learning! You will also “learn how to learn” so that we can move fast during camp when we have our full staff! We will also be working on our pre-game show!
Band Camp:
Monday July 24 - Friday July 28 8am-8pm at CHS
-We learn the show! We are excited to have our regular staff back with us this season as well as some additions to help us learn!
-More information regarding meals and supplies will be coming shortly
-We break up the day with different activities so that we aren’t always in the heat
OTHER INFORMATION:
There are going to be many ways for parents to be involved! Look for more details and sign-ups soon!
Here are some examples:
-Boosters Board
-Our “Feed the Band” Committee will need lots of help
-Pit crew (i.e. moving equipment and building things/logistics)
-Uniforms (Fittings and Care)
-Fundraising event volunteers and coordinators!

Dear Band Families,
On Saturday July 1Caledonia will be hosting its annual Independence Day Parade. We realize many families
travel during this holiday, but if you are still in town we need you to participate in this parade!
(this includes incoming freshman) BONUS: Parents/community/alumiif you play a band instrument you are able to join us for this parade as well!
It’s short and the music is easy!
Details:
Friday, June 30
6:00pm -6:45pm - Short rehearsal at CHS Band Room to review music.
(if you can’t make the rehearsal, but can make the parade just let me know)
Saturday, July 1
9:30am-10:00am - Band Room Open to get instruments (if you didn’t take them the
night before at the rehearsal)
10:20am - Meet at Parade Staging area (by Tennis courts at Duncan Lake)
10:30am - Short Rehearsal by Tennis Courts
11:00am - PARADE
11:30am - Approximate end time - get picked up. Once parade is done students will
find their ride. I will publish the end location of the parade once I receive further information,
but we usually end by the village hall on Maple St.
Uniform:
Red, White and Blue Patriotic. Shorts and Tennis Shoes (not sandals).
Music:
Grand Old Flag (music attached. for this parade we will ONLY be playing Grand Old Flag)

We are excited to be preparing for our fall Marching Band Season. We have many fun things planned for all of you! If you were able to attend our parent meeting we went over quite a bit of information. Most importantly right now is the information found below.
All of our Forms are now ONLINE and Easy to fill out..should only take a few minutes!
Fees are able to remain the same for this year. Once you fill out the forms linked above please follow the instructions at the bottom of this message to submit either a downpayment or your full payment ($200) via credit card.
Checks (made payable to Caledonia Bands) can submitted by: 1) Placing them in the white mailbox in the CHS band room, or the white mailbox in the Duncan Lake Band Room. 2) Mailing them to the following address: Caledonia Band Boosters, PO Box 501, Caledonia, MI 49316. Please make sure to include your childs name in the memo of the check.
