Pre-Camp Maps and Arrival Instructions, etc

Happy Rainy Sunday!  We are looking forward to having students safely
return to rehearsal and have a great experience.  This email contains
information about your procedure for drop-off and pick-up. Thanks for
your patience and understanding as we all learn new processes!

Masks will be worn at all times except when playing and when we are
safely socially distanced doing physical activity in our spaces on the field

Brass/Percussion: 9am-10:30am
Woodwinds/Colorguard: 11:00am-12:30pm

Arrival:
-Get dropped off at practice parking lot (location shown on map)
parents stay in car.
-Wear your mask and go to cart on the 50 yard line of our practice field.
-Your temp will be taken and we will ask several questions
(Some students ride bikes or walk to rehearsal.  If you do this please arrive
early so you have time to cool down before we try to take your temp).
-Section Leaders will guide you to a location on the field which is
already marked out in a more than socially distanced grid. (advantage
to marching band: even in a normal year we teach you how to stay
way from each other).
-Keep your water and any equipment you bring with you in this spot.
-Parents can park in the parking lot (map) next to the practice field if
they are waiting.

Pick-Up:
-Parents please park in the parking lot by the practice lot.
-Students will be dismissed by yard line and go straight to your car. Please be on time.
-Students who drive please go straight to your car.

Other Important Information: (i.e. pretty much the only part of this I can
copy/paste from last year)
-Eat a light healthy breakfast (this is physical activity, so you will need it)
-HYDRATE- Every student is required to have their own water jug with the
name on it. (due to regulations we will not be able to provide a common
source of water)
-Wear tennis shoes (no sandals or flip flops)
-Wear light, loose fitting athletic type clothes. Remember this is a physical
activity, and that Mr. Wellfare is the only winner in the fashion contest.
So don’t try too hard.
-YES, you will need your instrument.  We will be assigning school
instruments during the first few days of pre-camp, so don’t worry if
you don’t have one yet.
