Here are your announcements for the week of September 30.


  • It’s Bandtober! - The next several weeks are busy with performances. Please make sure you review your calendar and continue to read communications!

  • Friday Football, Hastings invitational (and looking a week into the future, MSBOA Marching Festival at Wayland)

October 4 - Friday Football Itinerary Vs. Rockford:

4:00pm - Band Room Opens

5:00pm - Uniform Room Opens 

5:45pm - RTP (ready to play) on practice field in Full Uniform

6:30pm - Marching to Stadium

6:50pm - Pre-Game!

7:00pm - Kickoff

*9:15pm - Approximate end of game and March band to Band Room to Change - This is when all your friends will appreciate the deodorant that you remembered to wear for this game.

*9:45pm - Approximate Pick-Up Time

*Please note that these times are approximate due to the pace of each game being different.


October 5 - Hastings Marching Invitational at Hastings High School

Parents are welcome and Encouraged to Attend. Tickets available at Gate -  Adults $10, Senior Citizens $5, k-12 Students $5 


2:00pm - Band Room Opens

3:00pm - RTP on Practice Field for Warm-Up Rehearsal

4:00pm - Load Semi

4:15pm - Uniform Room opens to change

5:00pm - Depart CHS for Hastings HS

5:30pm - Arrive at Hastings HS and Unload

6:30pm- Warm-Up

7:00pm - Move to Performance

7:15pm - PERFORMANCE!

7:30pm - Return to Semi and Load Equipment

8:00pm - Return to stands and watch remaining performances

9:00pm - Awards

9:30pm - Approximate Departure from Hastings

10:00pm - Approximate arrival at CHS/Unload/Change


October 8 - MSBOA District Marching Festival at Wayland High School

Parents are welcome and Encouraged to Attend. Tickets available at Gate -  Adults $10 (i’ll double check ticket prices for this event and update you all soon)

This is a school night, so the itinerary is as compressed as possible and we will be returning immediately following our performance.


4:00pm - RTP in Band Room - Load Semi

4:15pm - Uniform Room Opens to Change

5:00pm - Depart CHS for Wayland HS

6:15pm - Warm-Up

6:45pm - Move to performance

7:00pm - PERFORMANCE!

7:45pm - Approximate Departure from Wayland

8:15pm - Approximate arrival at CHS/Unload/Change

Uniform Reminders

Please note the following uniform reminders for all band members.  Parents, please help your students plan for this if needed.  

Hair:

  • Long Hair must be UP and off of the collar at all times.  This includes short pony tails or any stragglers of hair that might fall down.  
  • Long Bangs must also be UP in the shako.  
  • If you do not wear a shako (Front Ensemble) your Hair must also be UP and off of your collar.  

Please plan accordingly to have the supplies for this and ask for help if needed

Uniforms:

  • No part of the uniform or storage bag is to touch the ground for any reason
  • Uniforms must remain ON and FULLY ZIPPED, BUTTONED, ETC the ENTIRE time we are together - This Includes Breaks and when we are sitting in the stands.
  • Students are not to touch or adjust their plumes - we have wonderful volunteers to do this for them.

Thank you for helping our band look UNIFORM at all times.



Announcements Week of Sept 23

Here are your announcements for the week of September 23.

-It’s Homecoming Week! - See Game Day and Parade info and Itinerary Below

-We are approaching the busiest few weeks of our season.  As we start to receive our competition performance times the calendar will be updated with detailed itineraries.

-If you signed-up for the November Ann Arbor Trip or Spring Break New York, please be on the lookout for emails from Mr. Liker regarding payments. (This weekend is the first deadline)

-We will need Volunteers for the Parade/Game this Friday please scroll to the event in CutTime to sign-up.

THIS WEEK:

Monday September 23 - Rehearsal 6pm-8pm - On the practice Field

Friday - September 27 - Homecoming Parade at Game 2:45-9:45 - See details below

HOMECOMING PARADE/GAME ITINERARY AND INFO:

Homecoming is one of our busiest days!  We will be performing for the Pep Assembly during the school day, Calapalooza on our way to the parade, the parade and the game!  We are going to need some food donations and volunteers to make this busy day awesome for our kids! Scroll to the event in the Calendar in CutTime to Sign-Up! (Note: Please drop off any food donations by Thursday either at the band room or the Main entrance office of the school)

2:45pm - Uniform Room Opens

3:30pm - RTP (ready to play)  in Full Uniform - Line Up and March to Calapalooza

3:55pm - Calapalooza Performance

4:10pm - March to Parade Staging/Break - Water and Snacks available

5:00pm- Homecoming Parade

7:00pm - Kick-Off

Game Day Reminders

It’s Game Week!  Here are some reminders for our first home football game this Friday September 13.

UNIFORM:

Shoes and Gloves have Arrived and students should pick them up on the table in the band room.  Under our uniform students must wear shorts/leggings (NO DENIM  MATERIAL), Dark T-Shirt, and TALL Black Socks.  Deodorant.
